How To Make Your Own Website

by Tem Balanco

Shortly after beginning my Internet business, I realized I would have to address several issues before my company could realistically compete in the online marketplace. The first issue was that I needed a working website. I researched several website design packages from various companies, but they were so expensive I initially felt a little overwhelmed.

Then I found a tutorial on how to make your own website. At first, I didn't think there was anyway I could do it. I'm pretty computer literate but I thought my skill would have to be really advanced in order to make an interesting and compelling website that my customers would not only find interesting but would be user friendly as well.

But I did not stop there. I did some research on sites that advertised tutorials about how to make your own website. Several had excellent reviews from users. Many such users said they were not very tech-savvy but that they still found the tutorial really easy, and the finished product was wonderful.

As far as different websites that offered tutorials on how to make your own website, there were quite a few to choose from. When I made my final decision I didn't just look at price. There were really some bargain basement priced sites. Obviously I wanted to save as much money as possible but it was more important to me to have a really good website when I was done.

Thus, I continued to research. Eventually, I discovered a website that contained highly praised tutorials. The website even featured links to other sites that had been created using their tutorials. I looked at those and was very impressed by what I saw. One, particularly, was really applicable to what I needed.

Once I bought the tutorial, I was not disappointed. I found the template very easy to use. I plugged in my own information, made some decisions as far as background and such were concerned. It turned out really professional looking. The sense of accomplishment I felt was really worth every penny I paid.

I am very computer literate, but I believed my skill really had to be advanced to make a compelling, interesting site my customers would not just find interesting but which would also be user-friendly. I did a little research on websites that were advertised tutorials on how to make your own website. Different websites offered instructional guides on making your own website. Of course, I wanted to save as much money as I could, but I was worried more about how my website would look because having a good website is important to me.
