Fun Profitable Self-Employment Ideas

by Kale McClelland

Although many individuals like the idea of being self employed they never move forward with it because they fear the risk factor. The idea of making an investment in something will always carry a particular amount of risk. What is the answer? You need a low risk business with a minimal initial cash outflow.

This may not be so easy to come up with when dealing with a physical business. However, in the world of cyberspace it is much easier than you may consider. The business startup model that we are use to has been revolutionized by the internet. The short sweet answer now is you can start our online business for a low initial startup.

What you really need is a good idea to begin with. These few ideas should get you to thinking.

1. Freelance writing is a growing online opportunity that almost anyone can do. People are willing to pay for anything from blog posts to SEO quality content. What does it take to start this type of business? You need a computer, a list of clients and MS Office Word, which is a word processor. This is fairly simple to do with the exception of the client list. This is an instant business that offers instant results in many cases. The total startup costs are around $1000, including your computer. Use a laptop.

2. Virtual shopping mall. This requires nothing more than a computer, a web domain registered in your name and a membership in an affiliate site like LinkShare. The affiliate site will provide all the advertising materials (banners, text ads, etc!) so all you need to do is put them on your site. All that is left is getting traffic and visitors and making the sales. Total startup cost is about $1000 including the computer (use a laptop).

3. Sell advertising space. Start a newsletter or content rich web page and once you get a decent amount of traffic, offer to place ads on the site for a fee. Trust me, business owners are always looking for new advertising spaces. It gives them access to new clientele and customers that they may not have been reaching before. They will be willing to pay and pay well for that privilege.

These 3 ideas for self employment are only idea to get your creativity flowing. What you want to do is find that special something that suits you well to work for you. Everyone has their own special niche that works well for them. Find yours and the rest will be history.

Other basic ideas are day trading stocks or trading foreign currencies. These are a bit more involved and require a little learning but are real possibilities nonetheless. Many people use the Internet to run businesses of all types and sizes.

The decision is personally yours. Make sure you do choose wisely while choosing the best online business for you. When you love what you do your potential clients will notice your passion and be drawn to you because of it. When your clients experience something positive with your business, they will tell others about you. Soon those individuals will begin to visit your website as well.
